Welcome to the Binetto Grumo Festival!

For our Fourth Edition, which will take place in Grumo Appula and Binetto, July 2 to July 7 2012, we plan to offer each enrolled student instrument lessons, chamber music, piano ensemble, orchestral experience, a series of lectures and studio classes, and afternoon and evening concerts in venues such as the beautiful Sala della Cultura and the Anspi Monteverde Theatre in Grumo Appula, the Centro Studi Musicali, the magnificent Largo Chiesa in Binetto, and other nearby venues.

New music will be performed thanks to our Call for Scores 2012.

Free time for a field trip and sight-seeing will be available. And much more!

Thanks to a generous donation from Lee Copenhaver, we have established the Lee Copenhaver and The Pellegrini Family Scholarship Fund. Our goal is to create scholarships to help students attend the Grumo Festival. To learn more, click here.

As an added value to the experience, all past Grumo Festival participants have been invited to perform on February 24, 2012, in New York City, USA.

Room and board for students is available at local Bed and Breakfasts (sometimes called Agriturismo) and restaurants, at very acceptable costs. Additionally, a few local families have offered hospitality. Availability is limited and offered on a first-come first-served basis. The organization of the Grumo Festival will do its best to provide support with travel and accommodation arrangements (i.e. transportation from and to the airport), translation, or simply advice.

Many attractions are available nearby, from the Castellana Caves to marvelous Mediterranean beaches, from the UNESCO protected heritage site of Alberobello with its unique Trulli, to the thirteenth century Castel del Monte, with its octagonal shape.
